  • My CIM Index

    photos/cim-index.jpg

My Computer Information Management (CIM) website for the first two years I studied at Saddleback. It slowly evolved as I took classes and increased my tool set.

  • My First Page

  • Green Glow

My assignment index page for my XHTML class where I experimented simulating a monochrome monitor from the early 90's. Shows off some CSS I was learning on the side to make the letters glow.

  • Hardware Hobby

    photos/cim271a-final.jpg

This is a hobby site for my final exam in the first semester of XHTML. It demonstrates DIV blocks, CSS, navigation, and both local and remote page links.

  • Moldy Peaches

    photos/peaches.jpg

This is my final for the second XHTML class which was supposed to be a fan site. There are multiple pages which demonstrate media embedding for music, video and flash. The imagery and layout are deliberately primitive to match/simulate the album cover artwork for this band.

  • Prime Properties

    photos/prime.jpg

A Prime Properties real estate website developed throughout the XHTML book for 2 semesters. This is the final version we constructed over several iteratations with continuous improvements.

  • CSS Wonderland

    photos/csszen.jpg

An index page for my Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) class which shows my adaptation of the CSS Zen page. This was my first experience with floating DIV blocks.

  • CSS On Fire

    photos/cssfire.jpg

This is an assignment near the end of the CSS class where we were not allowed to change the HTML, only change the CSS. We were provided with graphics to use, but I decided to make my own for fun.

  • CSS Desktop

    photos/cssfinal.jpg

The final assignment for the CSS class was to create a CSS design using pre-existing content that couldn't be changed. My design was intended to the give the feel of an old top secret folder and desktop pad combined. At the time only a couple of browsers supported curvy corners, so the IE version supplements the feature with a plugin.

  • Catrina's Mexican Grill

    photos/catrina.jpg

This is a concept page I was working on for a potential final assignment in XHTML. I was also taking a CSS class where I was utilizing curvy corners for the first time. I opted to make the Moldy Peaches final assignment instead and to save this concept for a later project.

  • Cimsung Floating TV

    photos/cimsung.jpg

For a little variety I decided to make my Dreamweaver class assignment page into a GUI on a floating Cimsung(Samsung) TV. I used the skills from my PhotoShop class which I had just learned to slice the image into a webpage straight from the PhotoShop application.

For the second Adobe Flash class I decided to use some of the logic we recently learned to create a simple Flash calculator on my assignments page.

  • Flash Random

    photos/flashd.jpg

As we were further learning more logic, animation, ActionScript 2 and some ActionScript 3, I adapted an animated project from a book to create a random Flash webpage. While you admire it you can play a some oldschool pong.

  • My Fish Bubbles

    photos/bubbles.jpg

One of the major class projects for this Adobe Flash class was for each student to create an animated fish and accessory for a class fish tank. I created Bubbles the Fish and some seaweed which can be seen here in my personal Flash fish tank.
