All assignments are used as stepping stones in creating your final portfolio site.
These First two assignments deal with filling in a questionnaire and becoming familiar with the cim.saddleback.edu Web Application server, used to host your portfolio.

H0 Login on to IMC Computers
Username: Full Saddleback Username (include @saddleback.edu, or ivc.edu) Password on IMC

Fill In Student Questionnaire - it will be available second week of classes.

Login for Questionnaire is Saddleback Username, Password Student ID.

Also log in to blackboard and take Quiz 0 - blackboard login info

Forward Your Saddleback E-Mail to an account you check. Login to Saddleback E-mail, goto options then settings.

Week 2
H1 Create a default home page on cim.saddleback.edu, blackboard has Video on using either Dreamweaver or FileZilla with cim Week 3
Next two assignment deal with determining the top level design tools and site emphasis
H2 Find two impressive sites on the Web either portfolio or any site in general, post links to both these sites on blackboard. Try to include a short synposis on the high level site design. Week 3
  I f you have an interview questions you may also post them on blackboard, email or give me hard copies. Trying to create a database of interview questions.  
H3 Determine your top level site design and theme i.e. what is the the main applications your will be using to generate your portfolio either: Dreamweaver, templates, Flash, Adobe, or CMS. Also will it be a CSS, Flash, CMS or Adobe Photoshop site. Week 4
Final assignments deal with actually generating your portfolio site.
H4 Determine your main three colors, and font-family. Week 4
H5 Determine your website blue-print including file nomenclature and structure. Also create a favicon that relates to your site. Week 4
H6 Generate first cut or Portfolio - in class we will discuss sites, make sure your site passes validation. Week 5
H7 Finalize your portfolio site Week 7
